The show of Spring-Summer 2010
The Chanel Flap Summer 2010 is one of bucolic and rural light-heartedness. For this cheerful fashion show, Karl Lagerfeld installed a reproduction of a farm scene complete with barn, haystacks, and flower garlands in the heart of the Grand Palais, using Fragonard’s artworks and Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet at Versailles as his inspiration. Leather clogs with studded heels and small baskets adorned with flowers and ones made of wicker and hessian accessorize the silhouettes. Lily wore a dress especially designed by Karl Lagerfeld embroidered with gold and black sequins and decorated with feathers from Maison Lemarié.
